KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE POSITION

This is a Junior Information Security Analyst position with overall responsibility for assisting management in the continuous improvement of baseline security standards for member companies.

• Assist the team in responding to information security incidents.
• Update the knowledge base and send alerts to members.
• Conduct daily research on current vulnerabilities and new threats pertaining to the financial sector.
• Assist the team in conducting research and development activities related to emerging areas of information security.
• Assist the team in conducting Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration Testing.
• Conduct testing, deployment, and maintenance of FinCSIRT information security systems for members.
• Assist in conducting security awareness training.
• Take backups of critical FinCSIRT systems.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in the field of Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
• One or more information security-related certifications such as CSX, CEH, etc., would be an added advantage.
• Vendor certifications related to systems and network administration, such as MCSE, CCNA, CCSE, CCSP, and RHCE would be an added advantage.
• Work experience in a similar environment (e.g., as an intern) will be an advantage.
