SENIOR TECHNICIAN

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE POSITION

Carrying out activities related to maintenance, modification and improvement of premises, equipment and facilities, including equipment upgrades, emergency repairs, safety and security upgrades, and company-wide facilities renovation/refurbishment and rehabilitation.
Assists in the repair and installation of office equipment, items, systems and components ensuring those are available in operative and safe condition.
Performing tasks related to all maintenance related projects for all LankaPay facilities including preventive maintenance.
Assist in special projects and ensure successful completion of such projects.
Communication of activities relating to the facilities and maintenance to relevant parties.
Performing on–call emergency service as required.
Assist in monitoring and controlling of general office inventory and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Civil Engineering.
5 years of minimum work experience in facilities and maintenance related work in a reputed establishment.
Ability to perform troubleshooting and commissioning work related to Building MEP systems.
Ability to operate/handle equipment used in the facilities and maintenance trade such as power and hand tools and adhering to safety practices when handling hazardous materials and equipment.
Previous work experience in Split A/C, UPS and diesel generators will be looked at favourably.
Good knowledge of occupational health and safety.
