GovPay clinches National & Provincial Winner Awards for “BEST INNOVATIVE PRODUCT IN GOVERNMENT”

GovPay clinched its first two accolades, winning both the national and provincial level awards for the ‘Best Innovative Product in Government’ at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2025, held on 1st July at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo! GovPay – Government Digital Payment Platform – is a joint initiative by LankaPay and ICTA, aptly supported by the Ministry of Digital Economy. Since its launch in February 2025, GovPay has facilitated Rs. 52 million worth of payments to over 50 government institutions via the digital banking platforms of 13 financial institutions; and 6 fintech apps.

This recognition is a reflection of our continuous efforts to drive digital innovation in the public sector, enhancing convenience, transparency, and efficiency in government payments across Sri Lanka.
