Mr. Mark Surgenor

Director

Mr. Surgenor is currently the CEO of HSBC Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka’s largest international bank with over 130 years of continuous presence in the country. He is also the CEO of HSBC Maldives where HSBC has recently celebrated 20 years of presence.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Surgenor was based in Hong Kong and was the HSBC Group Head of Wealth Management, serving the wealth management needs of HSBC retail clients across all 60+ HSBC markets around the world.

Mr. Surgenor joined HSBC in 2009, and has undertaken leadership roles based in Europe, in Latin America and across Asia.

Prior to HSBC, Mr. Surgenor was at the Lloyds Banking Group where he held a number of senior positions across International Retail and Corporate Banking in the UK, the Middle East and in Asia. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business & Finance, a Masters Degree in International Marketing and the CIM Diploma.
